Many of us work hard in order to finish and complete those pile of paper works on time. In order to work with much more concentration to meet the threatening deadlines, we need extra energy. Nearly everyone tries to get an additional source of energy from energy drinks such as coffee, tea and cola.
Artificial Stimulants and the Body
A lot of people do not know what effects artificial stimulant can have on our body. We tend to deny the fact that its causes have brought harmful effects to our systems. As long as we are fine, we indulge ourselves in drinking it. The effects of caffeine elevates blood sugar which in turn can aggravate hypoglycemia, cause irregular heartbeats, increase urinary calcium and magnesium losses, and raise blood pressure. It can also increase stomach acid secretion causing stomach ulcers, cause tremors, irritability, nervousness, and insomnia. Caffeine can also increase psychological effects like anxiety, depression and frustration, aggravate symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, lowers tolerance to physical and emotional stress, and interfere with higher brain functioning. It is associated with colon, bladder and ovarian cancer.
How Energy Drinks Work
Energy drinks do not nourish and replenish the human system. There is a sudden effect from them before the stomach has the time to digest it. What the users think that using the strength from energy drinks can provides a short-lived energy to the entire system. They did not realize that the so called strength is received by exciting the nerve of the stomach, which brings irritation to the brain and in turn is aroused to signal an increased action to the heart, bringing a temporary energy boost to the entire system.
All this false strength that we assume to have when we imbibe energy drinks does not give a particle of natural strength. Can you imagine all those effects inside our body? It really contributes to a tiring and exhausting effect. Why not get a natural energy booster by walking several times a day, drink a lot of water, get enough sleep, spend time with your friends and loved ones, and live a balance and healthy life.
